6 Souls a.k.a Shelter

Moore (Children of Men) doesn't believe in multiple personalities. Her father (DeMunn from The Mist), also a psychiatrist who wants to prove her wrong, and he thinks he found the perfect candidate. It turns out he (Meyers from August Rush) doesn't have multiple personalities; he is possessed. All in all, I say: SKIP IT. The beginning was cool, but once it got in possession I just couldn't take it seriously anymore.

Ring of Fire: tv mini-series

Vartan (Never Been Kissed), O'Quinn (Primal Fear),  and Tracey (Insomnia) are fighting for their lives and the lives of others when an oil drill causes a volcanic eruption. Typically, disaster film for television. First, the introduce the characters and each one has a flawed life. Then, they are all in danger or have a loved one in danger. Lastly, they all survive and find resolution and/or forgiveness. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Hairdresser or Die Friseuse

A recently divorced East Berliner is unemployed with a daughter to raise. She  is turned down for a salon job because of her weight and decides to open her own shop. I thought it would be more of a comedy. It was extremely depressing. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Crawlspace

IMDb writes, "A special forces unit sent, to infiltrate Pine Gap Australia's top secret underground military compound, come under attack from unknown forces." The forces they are under attack from are within the facility and the unit was sent as a test. No is who they seem and things are not as they appear. The entire movie takes place in a crawl space literally. Clayton (Three Rivers) plays Eve, and yes, there is an Adam. Australian actor Davey (Spartacus) is one of the special forces guys. All in all, I say: STREAM IT on Netflix if you like Sci-fi. I thought it was interesting.

Maid for Love

A McCarthy's of Gansett Island Series - a romance. Amazon describes the plot as: "Maddie Chester is determined to leave her hometown of Gansett Island, a place that has brought her only bad memories and ugly rumors. Then she's knocked off her bike on the way to her housekeeping job at McCarthy's Resort Hotel by Gansett's "favorite son," Mac McCarthy. He's back in town to help his father with preparations to sell the family resort and has no intention of staying long. When Mac accidentally sends Maddie flying over the handlebars, badly injuring her, he moves in to nurse her back to health and help care for her young son. He soon realizes his plans for a hit-and-run visit to the island are in serious jeopardy, and he just may be "maid" for love." All in all, I say: SKIP IT - I liked the characters ok, but it just was way too unrealistic and I don't like the sex scenes - they were awkward.

State of Emergency

Zombies!!! Available to stream on Netflix, this is an independent film. Hayden (The House Bunny) has mainly done television series and commercials. He was good in this. Stahl (The Blindside), and White (Seance). Most of the others have done nothing or just short films for school and such. IMDb writes, "Chaos consumes a small town when a chemical facility explodes releasing a deadly toxin. Moments after the leak, the town's residents show signs of mutation, causing the military to quarantine the area leaving any survivors helpless and trapped inside. The story follows Jim, a young man isolated within the red zone, as he eludes flesh eating zombies in an attempt to win back his freedom." All in all, I say: STREAM IT if you like Zombie flicks.

Easy Money

I decided to try this because Kinnaman (The Killing) is in it. He is young in this. There are 3 plots that mix at the end. There are several different languages spoken. I just got bored - there wasn't anything that kept me interested. All in all, I say: SKIP IT
