A group of women who were code breakers during WWII in Britain are struggling with "going back to the kitchen" now that the war is over. One woman picks up on a pattern of a killer on the loose in England. She and her friends use their talents to predict who the killer is and where he will strike again. It's on Amazon and as the British would say, "It's Brilliant." All in all, I say: SEE IT

The Night Clerk

Tye Sheridan (Mud) stars in this Netflix series about an man who has autism and witnesses a murder. You will be able to guess the killer. You watch the series to see how the voyeur handles manipulation from the killer, and the pressure put on him by police detective (John Leguizamo from Spawn). Helen Hunt (Mad About You) and  Johnathon Schaech (Batwoman) also star. Although it's predictable, Tye does an excellent job. Helen has had too much botox. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Kenny Sabastian: The Most Interesting Person in the Room

A Netflix comedy special starring Kenny Sebastian a Bengal comedian. Most of it is cultural comedy, so an American may not find some of funny. I enjoyed it because of all the cultural specific humor. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Buffaloed

A comedy based in Buffalo, NY on Hulu starring Zoey Deutch (Set It Up). She grows up poor and when she can't go to the ivy league school she worked so hard to get into she decides to make it rich quick. Her mom Judy Greer (Halloween Kills) has tried to reach her daughter, but fails until she herself ends up being arrested and then it's a wake up call for her daughter. Jai Courtney (Stateless) trains Zoey's character on the debt collecting scam that gets her in a feud with the mob. It's pretty funny. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Perry Mason

On HBO, it's not the Perry Mason you might be familiar with. This is a prequel to the show from the 50s. In this, Matthew Rhys (The Americans) is back from WWII with a mark on his record of events that took place during a battle in Europe. He is struggling in a prosperous, depression era LA. He gets a job helping attorney John Lithgow (Dexter) uncover the truth about a kidnapping gone wrong. Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) also star as a religious icon who is involved in the lives of the couple who are accused. This police corruption LA. This is racist LA. Lithgow's character annoys me to no end. I have a hard time watching his character on screen. Matthew's Mason is weaker than I would like. There are a lot of excellent actors in this that will have brief roles. Veronica Falcon (Queen of the South) also as a role. It's LA gritty for sure. There have only been three episodes as I post this. All in all, I say: SEE IT - Also, there is behind the scenes stuff after each show.

I'll Be Gone in the Dark

This is a documentray series on HBO written and directed by women based on the blog by reporter Michelle McNamara (deceased wife of comedian Patton Oswalt). Michelle wrote and investigated an unsolved serial rapist and killer in California from the 70s. It is really well done. It focuses on the survivors and the victims, and it's mainly from the point of view of Michelle. There have only seen 2 episodes on so far, but I'm hooked. If you are a woman, you will get angry. There is a podcast you can listen too immediately after each episode that's worth a listen as well. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Chris D'Elia: No Pain

An hour comedy special on Netflix. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. Some of it was funny. I saw this before the allegations came out against him. All in all, I say: SKIP IT
