The first film with Al Gore was shocking and concerning. I loved it. This one is heartbreaking and even more concerning. I had to stop it many times to just cry. Watching the glaciers melting....I can't even. It ends on a hopeful note, but barely. Everyone has to see not just the first one, but this one too. How anyone could still deny climate change is beyond me - talk about head in the sand. The chain reaction it causes....I'm going to tear up again. All in all, I say: SEE IT - I rented it on Directv.

Marry Me at Christmas

A famous action actor spends a holiday in a small town in order to give his sister away at her wedding. He meets a bridal shop owner who wants to go into the wedding planning business. The two fall in love. All in all, I say: SEE IT - Hallmark Christmas is a guarantee of a happy feeling.

Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow

These two were great together - the plot was a little off. I do like a dog and a road trip. "Based on a novel by Debbie Macomber, this yuletide movie tells the story of Ashley Harrison (Meghan Ory) and Dash Sutherland (Andrew Walker). She is a crafter based in San Francisco who is desperate to spend the holidays with her family in Seattle and Dash is also in a rush to get there. When Ashley inexplicably encounters a problem with her reservation at the airport ticket counter, she turns to Plan B and attempts to rent a car. But there's just one vehicle left and Dash beats her to it. Reluctantly, Ashley takes him up on his offer to join him on the road trip. As the pair heads north, their adventures include car trouble, adopting a puppy and being secretly tailed by federal agents, who believe Ashley is up to no good. With a hint of romance gradually filling the air will these two fall in love or will their journey bring about an unexpected road bump to romance?"

His return sparks a shift in some supernatural forces - he starts to believe in the unbelievable. I haven't finished the series from BBC yet. It's on Amazon. All in all, I say: STREAM IT

Chance

Hugh Laurie from House is a doctor again with great gifts again. He also has a bit of a psychological problem which he seems to have passed on to his daughter; he falls in love easily and can become obsessed. His latest obsession throws him in the path of a dangerous man (Ethan Suplee from My Name is Earl) which may or may not prove to be a useful friendship. It's one its second season on Hulu. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Geostorm

I love disaster movies so of course I saw this. I didn't see it in 3D. It follows the path of every disaster film. Danger comes and only one man can save the world. The bad guy must get caught. And...someone falls in love. Gerard Butler (Phantom) plays a scientist - kind of a stretch. Ed Harris (Westworld) and Andy Garcia (Passengers) also have roles. Most of the action is handled by a woman though. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you like disasters films as much as I do.
