Pacific Rim

From the Mexican director that brought you: Cronos, Mimic, Blade II, and Hellboy. From the Mexican writer that brought you: The Devil's Backbone, Hellboy II, and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. From the producer that brought you: Chronicles, Pan's Labyrinth, The Orphanage, Splice, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Kung Fu Panda II, and Puss in Boots. Pacific Rim is directed/written.produced by Guillermo del Toro. British actor, Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) is one man in a two man fighting team. Klattenhoff (Homeland) is the second man on the team and plays Hunnam's brother. When he dies Hunnam's character leaves the "saving the world" gig for five years until the aliens are posed to eliminate all human kind. He returns with a new partner (Japanese actress Kikuchi from The Brother's Bloom) to save the day. British actor Elba (Thor) is the commanding officer. American actors Day (Horrible Bosses) and Gorman (Torchwood) are two scientists. British actor Kazinsky (True Blood) and American actor -picture below - Martini (Redbelt) are a father/son fighting team. Collins (Tigerland) and Perlman (Sons of Anarchy) are support. When there was action it was really cool and fun to watch - when there was no acting the kids got antsy. All in all, I say: SEE IT on the bog screen. I saw it in 2D.
