Switched at Birth

Season 1 the girls and their parents meet and try to figure out how things should work. The actors and not the plot are what had me hooked. I watched all of season one - one right after the other. I think it's been cancelled which is good because I don't like it when things get to be too much "drama". I want to leave the rest to my imagination. You know like we all loved Season 1 of Grey's but now it's like I can't take it any more it's just a soap opera trying to shock you and the plot & acting get lost. Back to the Birth show. All in all, I say: STREAM IT.

Awkward.

On MTV - this half-hour show is FABulous. The actors are great and even though the plot is kind of been there - done that -the main character has a lot more guts than the girly teens that came before her. I just kind of connected with this for no particular reason. All in all, I say: SEE IT.

Glades

Season 2 has started - I like this show more and more. It is funny and the actors have chemistry. It takes place in Florida - the main character is unique - and with all the cop shows over the years you would think that would be impossible. All in all, I say: SEE IT.

Teen Wolf

So much better than the cheesy 80s movie. There is more drama and not as much comedy. It is well done - they changed the sport from basketball to Lacross. I like it - I am intrigued after only 3 shows. It looks like mainly Canadian actors. All in all, I say: SEE IT.

Stargate Universe

I have been a huge fan of this series since Stargate the movie came out which lead to the series on Sci-Fi Stargate SG-1. After a zillion seasons of SG-1 there was Stargate Atlantis then this one Stargate Universe. This week was the season finale and the show was cancelled so no more Stargate unless I want to watch reruns. I'm kind of in the dumps because there are no more Star Trek's either - I don't think I have ever had to go without a Star Trek or Star Trek spin off or a Stargate or Stargate spin-off. Where have all my sci-fi gone?! I haven't been able to stomach Dr. Who since the 2nd guy left. All in all, I say: SEE THEM ALL I love them.

Game of Thrones

I love the very British actor Sean Bean and this part was made for him. It is a drama - a bunch of different people plotting to take a throne. It is based on some fantasy books I have never read. There is some gore - there are some bad actors, but there are some good ones, too. The season is about half way I think on HBO and I am still watching, but still not sure. All in all, I say: SHRUG - will have to let you know.

Camelot

So, I have been trying to watching Camelot on Starz and, well... I decided that I don't really like it. The actors are ruining it for me. The plot is to be expected, but why are all the characters acting like newbies. All in all, I say: SKIP IT.

Jon Stewart - Daily Show

Monday following the shooting Jon Stewart just talked a bit instead of doing his usually thing. I love this quote from him I think I have heard before, "You can't outsmart a crazy." I found this list from a Delaware Jurist Website.
1. If you don't have to deal with a crazy person, don't
2.You can't outsmart a crazy. You also can't fix crazy. You could outcrazy a crazy, but that would make you crazy.
3. The crazy person doesn't have as much to lose as you do.
4. The crazy person sees anything you have done as justification for what she's about to do.
5. Anything nice you do for a crazy person will be used as ammunition about you later.
6.The crazy sees any outcome as vindication.
7. When you start caring what a crazy person thinks, your joining her in the craziness.

NCIS

Love Mark Harmon in this character as much as I loved his character on West Wing - cried my eyes out when he died. Michael Weatherly - from Dark Angel - love the episode - can't remember the season - where he runs through a warehouse killing all the bad men then jumps into the water to save Gibbs and another person. I love Abby's little quarks. All in all, I say: SEE IT - it's really the best of forensics and mystery.
The first three rules are the golden rules - 3 created by the man that trained Gibbs and 3 created by Gibbs.
Rule 1: Never let suspects stay together. Never screw (over) your partner.
Rule 2: Always wear gloves at a crime scene. You do what you have to do for family.
Rule 3: Never be unreachable. Don't believe what you're told. Double check.
Rule 4: If you have a secret, the best thing is to keep it to yourself. The second best is to tell one other person if you must. There is no third best.
Rule 6: Never say you're sorry. It's a sign of weakness.
Rule 7: Always be specific when you lie.
Rule 8: Never take anything for granted.
Rule 9: Never go anywhere without a knife.
Rule 10: Never get personally involved in a case (Gibbs admits this is the hardest)
Rule 11: When the job is done, walk away.
Rule 12: Never date a coworker.
Rule 13: Never, ever involve lawyers.
Rule 15: Always work as a team.
Rule 18: It's better to ask forgiveness than ask permission.
Rule 22: Never ever interrupt Gibbs in interrogation.
Rule 23: Never mess with a Marine's coffee if you want to live.
Rule 27: These are 2 ways to follow 1st way they never notive you; 2nd way they onlt notice you
Rule 38: Your case, your lead
Rule 39: There is no such thing as coincidence.
Rule 40: If it seems like someone's out to get you, they are
Rule 44: 1st things first hide the women & children
Rule 45: Clean up your messes
Rule 51: Sometimes you're wrong
2 rules without numbers: Never under estimate your opponent and Follow you lead

Scarecrow and Mrs. King: Season One

Had a chance - to not do school work - to re-watch this great tv show. I loved this and saw every show of every season when it first aired. Great spy show - new shows could learn a thing or two. Comedy, romance, and mystery. The good old Russia is the bad guy spy stuff without fancy technology like cellphones. All in all, I say: RENT IT or if a fan BUY IT. Season two will be released in March.

Coincidence

When I was sick I rewatched several of my favorite espisodes of Buffy & Angel. Which is weird timing because:
The character Riley: was just on Law & Order: LA and Mother & Child
The character Tara: was just on The Killing Jar
The character Spike: was just on PS I Love You on HBO
The character Buffey: a clip from her show was just on Jon Stewart
The character Angel: is on Bones
Alot of coincidence

Dexter Season 5

Are you even watching this right now? I can't get over it - Julia Stiles (from the Bourne movies), Peter Weller (Robo Cop), Jonny Lee Miller (Hackers), and Chris Vance (from UK mainly tv stuff, I love his accent - he is only 3 years older than I am & good lookin') ALL on Dexter. All in all, SEE IT now.

Person's Unknown

TV series I think I saw some of, but couldn't remember. Some of the episodes were directed by Jonathan Frankes of Star Trek Next Generation. A group of people are kidnapped and help hostage in a fake town & given tests. They are watched constantly and analyzed. In the end, they must kill each other to survive. Well, one group decides they will work together and beat the system. Season finale - they all get rounded up and sent to level two - thank goodness it was cancelled it was beginning to feel like Lost. All in all, I say: SKIP IT it's torture.

Law & Order UK

Stars from Battlestar Gallatica & Dr. Who - those are the young ones. The older ones have been acting for long in UK stuff it would take pages to list. Aside from occasionally not being able to understand accents - I love it - the formula works on any continent it seems. All in all, I say: SEE IT - hurry because in US it is season one, but in UK it is season three already.

Defying Gravity

Ron Livingston is not his usual funny self. The plot is weird. The special effects are interesting - simple, but good. I can see why it was cancelled. They could have condensed the whole thing and made a movie. All in all, I say: SKIP IT.

Eastbound & Down Season 1

I wish I had not bothered. 1st it is replaying on HBO and 2nd it was bad. I don't think I laughed at all. He is not funny. It is crude humor which I hate - like fart jokes and stuff. A lot of cursing which would not fly at a school. All in all, I say: SKIP IT I didn't want to waste a netflix on the second disc even.

Survivors

On BBC America - Survivors - are that, survivors. An illness has spread and killed almost everyone. This group bands together to survive. An interesting groups of actors - that if you watch British TV as much as I do - you will recognize as TV veterns. Pilot was excellent - background on each character mainly - can't wait to see more. It is on Saturdays here in the US. All in all, I say: SEE IT.

Human Target

Ok - the remake of Human Target is ok. I only like Mark Valley (who plays Chistopher Chance) the others aren't working for me - so I tune them out. I miss seeing Valley in comedy. I was devastated when Keen Eddie on BBC was cancelled (the one Sienna Miller was in before every fell in love with her - except me I don't think she has any talent). He was NOT funny in Fringe or Boston Legal. Here he is & despite the bad blue screen the action scenes are cool. In the last episode I watched the fight scene in the car three times. All in all, I say: CHECK IT OUT on Fox.

Past Life

The show has only been on twice. I like the woman's southern accent. I like the idea of a show that is part supernatural & part solving crimes - the best part - it's not another Medium. People are really saying horrible things about it, but I though the second show proved it might get better. I am going to hang in longer. All in all, I say: CHECK IT OUT on Fox.

Medium

Season 6 on CBS. Better than the last season. It hasn't gotten old. I loved the Night of the LIving Dead episode. All in all, I say: SEE IT.
