Sucker Punch

The graphics were good. Visual very cool like 300. The plot was well not so interesting and the ending was disturbing. I liked some of the dialoque. All in all, I say: RENT IT.

Jane Eyre

Jane is played by the actress from the Burton remake of Alice in Wonderland. She does a very good job. This is one of the most accurate versions I have seen. Rochester is played by the very hadsome Fassbender - from Inglorious Bastards and three new movies out this year. The costumes were quite good. All in all, I say: SEE IT.

The Horde

American are know for Zombie movies. The British have proven themselves. This is a French film - the zombies are FAST. Pretty cool. All in all, SEE IT if you love Zombie movies.

The Countess

I remember reading that some believe she was one of the first female serial killers - hundreds of young virgins girls for blood. In one book I read she might have been a vampire. This movie looks at what fact and fiction surrounds this Countess. She was wealthy, powerful, and a widow - a threat to the greed of others - you decide if she was devil or victim. All in all, I say: RENT IT if you like this sort of period piece - SKIP IT otherwise.

Battle: LA

Retreat - Hell. A group of Marines in LA are given a mission to find a group of civilians and make it back to the FOB before the air force bombs the entire area. Aliens have come to colonize Earth and the west coast of the US is trying to keep them contained. The Marines discover that the alien air ships are unmanned and therefore being controlled by a command center, so after making sure the civilians are safe they help blow up the alien command center for western US. Then, being marines they go back out. Less soap opera stuff than Independence Day - more of a war movie than a sci-fi movie.

Catfish

This is a documentary about Facebook. A boy posts with a girl & then the girl's entire family & friends. Turns out they are all one person - a woman who is warped in my opinion. The movie was hard to watch & validates everything I think about meeting people online. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you like adding people as friends that you don't know. SKIP IT if you don't like movie about Facebook and the like.

Gnomeo and Juliet

I think you can all guess what this one is about and since it is for kids I think you can guess the ending. All in all, I say: RENT IT - it was cute.

See You in September

Predictable and some bad acting - not a lot - there were some really good people in it. I like Justin Kirk (Weeds) there is something sexy about him - I can't put my finger on it, but I like him. A woman puts together and hosts group therapy when her therapist leaves on vacation for a month. A good mix of characters and not too heavy on therapy. All in all, I say: RENT IT.

Freakonomics

Based on the book. Several different bio stories intertwined with the an interview with the authors. It really makes you think. It also inspires you to think outside the box or from other points of views. It can be used to look not just at economics but government and parenting too. I liked the one directed by Spurlock - one of my all time favorite docu film makers. All in all, I say: SEE IT.

Rango

Made by a legend and voiced by many great actors. I had great hopes - the beginning was bad. None of the kids could sit still. The music was good. None of the kids in the theatre really laughed either. There were a couple of scenes that adults were able to get into, but the rest was boring. All in all, I say: SKIP IT.

Monsters

The name kind of threw me. You think it is going to be a sci-fi, but it really isn't. It's more of a road film - 2 people forced to travel together - certainly with danger around them - they fall in love. It was simple and it just worked. All in all, I say: STREAM IT.
