Stephen Lang (Avatar) is a blind former soldier who has plans to get a new daughter since his was killed. Some burglars think they can make a quick buck by stealing from him. They are wrong. It is creepy. All in all, I say: SEE IT Amazon if you like horror.

Nobody

 

Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Sal) appears to be a meek man with no ambition sailing through his life. Turns out that it's a mistake to think that. The action is great. All in all, I say: SEE IT on Amazon.

The Voyeurs

 

A young couple starts to listen and look in on their neighbors and their sex life. The neighbors take advantage. They commit murder and disgrace the girl in public. She finds out and takes revenge. All in all, I say: SKIP IT on Amazon.

A super crazy movie about a woman who has her twin growing out of her head. Her twin makes her black out and kills. All in all, I say: SKIP IT on Amazon

Cry Macho

 The new Clint Eastwood (Stagecoach) movie on HBO. It is boring as hell. All in all, I say: SKIP IT



Jolt

 

Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) has a disorder - her anger creates a lot of violence. Stanley Tucci (Big Night) and Jai Courtney (Divergent) set her up in order to put an end to a crime syndicate. The action is good. All in all, I say: SEE IT on Amazon.

The Pursuit of Love

 

A British series on Amazon. It follows two friends and their tribulations with finding love. It was okay. All in all, I say: SKPI IT

Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings

 

The next Marvel movie that takes place in a mythical place in China. Awkwafina (The Little Mermaid) and Simu Liu (Kim's Convenience) star. It was action packed and had some humor. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Sweet Girl

 

This movie on Netflix stars Jason Momoa (See). He and his daughter suffer a loss that will push one of them over the edge. It's an interesting twist. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Madonna and the Breakfast Club

 

A documentary on Hulu that interviews the musicians that make up the Breakfast Club. It's a side of Madonna I didn't know about. It was pretty interesting. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Professor T

 

Ben Miller (Bridgerton) is a criminal psychologist who is brought in by the police to help solve murder. It's a British show on PBS. All in all, I say: SEE IT 

Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter Part II the Beginning

 

Based on an anima, and one of about 7 other films. This is about an assassin. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

P!nk: All I Know So Far

 

A documentary about P!nk during her tour during Covid. It's on Amazon. I learned some new things about her. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Only Murders in the Building

 

Martin Short and Steve Martin (The Three Amigos) are a couple of older gentlemen who love listening to a murder podcast. When a murder takes place in their building they work with another tenant to find the killer, the singer Selena Gomez. This show on Hulu is complicated and everyone has something to hide. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Pysical

 

This series is on Apple TV and stars Rose Byrne (Spy). It's really hard to watch. She is a shit show in this. She has all kinds of image issues. Paul Sparks (House of Cards) also stars - he does a good job in his role. It's different and frustrating to watch. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

All My Life

 

This movie on Hulu is based on a real story about a couple who fall in love and then one of them loses their battle with cancer. All in all, I say: SKIP IT. It was a little off. Not sure how else to describe it, but I didn't enjoy it. It felt forced.

Nine Perfect Strangers

 

Based on a book, this series is on Hulu. Nicole Kidman (The Hours) runs a health retreat and invites a group of strangers to stay and work through their issues. They have a wide range of issues. Everyone has a past even the workers at the spa. Melissa McCarthy (Tammy) also stars. It's long, but interesting in segments. All in all, I say: SEE IT 

Val

 

This documentary on Amazon takes all of Val Kilmer's video, his sons voice, and pieces together his life. I learned a lot of new things about Val. It was interesting. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you like Val as an actor.

Free Guy

 

Ryan Reynolds (Buried) is a computer program that has become sentient. Jodie Comer (All About Eve) is the programmer. It's about an on-line game, and a small programmer fighting a large corporation. All in all, I say: SKIP IT - it was as funny as it could have been. Some of the humor just goes too far.

CODA

 

A hearing girl born to a deaf family has to make some hard decisions. She has a friend and a teacher that take an interest. With time her family comes around, and they become more self-sufficient. It's really well done and acted. All in all, I say: SEE IT on Apple TV

The Great British Baking Show

 

On Netflix, this is a baking competition show. The first few seasons had a couple of hosts that were funny. It's get repetitive and I don't like the new hosts. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

I Am Greta

 

A documentary about Greta's journey from when she was one student protesting on Friday to be international. I learned a lot about her as a person and how her movement started. This is on Hulu. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Akira

 

This movie is supposedly a classic...I don't get it. Bike gangs, a government conspiracy, and supernatural forces. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Fatherhood

 

This movie on Netflix is more drama than comedy. Kevin Hart (Ride Along) is a widower raising his daughter. It's one of those - he tries to do it on it own - he makes mistakes - the in-laws want her... You know the plot. It's predictable. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Gunpowder Milkshake

 

Karen Gillan (Selfie) is the daughter of an assassin who becomes an assassin. It's three or four generations of women who watch out for the innocent. They are all bad asses. It's a strange plot. It had some good action though. On Netflix, with a stellar caste. All in all, I say: SEE IT

The Dog House

 

The cutest reality show ever. On HBO, this British show focuses on a dog shelter in England that helps humans find their furry family. It is adorable. All in all, I say: SEE IT

The Day Sports Stood Still

 


On HBO, this documentary examines how Covid affected basketball, as well as, BLM. Antoine Fuqua (SouthPaw) directed. It was really well done. All in all, I say: SEE IT


The Hunt

 

Betty Gilpin (Glow) ends up being hunted along with a dozen others who are targeted by a family/corporation. Unfortunately, for Hilary Swank (Boys Don't Cry) the leader of the hunt, the wrong woman was picked up. Instead of an angry blogger they kidnapped a former marine. All in all, I say: SEE IT - same plot you've seen many times before, but a better twist on it. Also, a stellar cast.

Whitstable Pearl

 

On Acorn, a series about a restaurant owner who also is a private detective. She gets into a case with a new to town cop. It's well done. All in all, I say: SEE IT
