The Suicide Squad

A sequel several of the key characters are in this. There are a ton of new faces. Many don't last very long at all. Same concepts - criminals are tasked with doing something dangerous to the save the world. If they live and succeed they get time off their sentence. Idris Elba (Luther) joins the cast. There are some fun action scenes. The plot is strange, the characters are strange - Margot Robbie is the only reason to watch this on HBO. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Hitmen

Two British, female hitmen get into all sorts hijinks in this Peacock show. It was original and interesting at first, but it got old fast. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Good on Paper

I like the stand up comedian Iliza Shlesinger, and I like Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars). This movie was not well written, directed, or edited. It was painful to watch on Netflix. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Tomorrow War

Chris Pratt is one of many drafted in an army to go back in time to fight insect creatures. HIs daughter, Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) also stars. Bureau of Magical Things

AN Australian tv series on Netflix. A young girl comes into contact with a magical item and turns the unseen magical world on it's head. It's made of young teens, but it was entertaining. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Panic

A series on Amazon that follows a small town game. The games as a creator, senior high school judges, and senior high school participants. The color is to take a series of dares - earn points to win money for college. There are some plot flaws. If you don't focus on it too much or think to hard it's just a decent piece of entertainment. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Rutherford Falls

A comedy on Peacock starring Ed Helms (Office) as a cultural director who feels it's his life's mission to protect the family history in the town named after his family. There is the town's first mayor of color. There is the Native American tribe also invested. Things get a bit crazy. It's not overly laugh at loud funny, but it didn't suck. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Truth Be Told

Octavia Spencer (The Shack) is a Podcast journalist who investigates her first murder trail. Turns out she think the wrong man was tried and convicted. The convict played by Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) was a child who was tried as an adult. It plays on Apple TV, and the acting is great. All in all, I say: SEE IT - new season has started

The Republic of Sarah

A young school teacher finds a way to prevent a fossil fuel company from destroying her small New England town. All her young friends help. They end up forming their own country. Every episode there is a new problem that they somehow manage to fix. If that was it that would be cool. Problem is we have to wade through all the soap opera drama. It's getting old. All in all, I say: SKIP IT on CW

Infinite

Another timeline/time travel sort of mind bender. A select group of people are reincarnated when they are killed in their last life. They have a purpose - a save the world - divine sort of purpose. Mark Wahlberg (Shooter), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Locked Down), Dylan O'Brien (Maze Runner), Jason Mantzoukas (Close Enough), Johannes Johannesson (Alpha), and Rupert Friend (Homeland) all star. It didn't suck, but it wasn't the best ever. It was interesting. I never read the book, so I guess the plot was odd to me. It had some funny parts. All in all, I say: SEE IT on Paramount.

Loki

In this slightly confusing Disney+ storyline with Loki time travel is put on it's head. Owen Wilson (Wedding Crashers) join the MC universe. There are too many spoilers to write much more. Quiet Place II

Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) joins the group. We get a little prequel and then we are right back where we left off. The ending makes me think there is going to be a third film. It was good - not as good as the first. There are horrible groups of people in this as opposed to just the creatures. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Miss Scarlet and the Duke

A great mystery series on PBS. Stuart Martin (Jamestown) is cute and plays a cop. Miss Scarlet is a private investigator - taking over her murdered father's business. Most of the series he is very mean to her. There is romantic tension. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham (Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels) join up again for this new movie. It was based on a book and does NOT have any martial arts. It's a bunch of bloodshed. It's not your typical Guy Ritchie film. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

This Marvel movie that gives us insight into Black Widow was really good. David Harbour (Stranger Things) and Rachel Weisz (The Fountain) are fun Russian editions to the universe. Florence Pugh (Commuter) is also an exciting edition - as Natasha's sister. It was kind of sad to see Black Widow again after her death - this happens earlier in the timeline. 1991,1978, and 1666 - told in three parts and is reverse we see how the horror that is the lives of Shadyside citizens started, was perpetuated, and how it ends. Kiana Madeira (Dark Matter) stars. It feels like the horror movies of the times. The 90s part feels like Scream. The 70s one feels like Jason and Halloween, and the 1600s one feels very Salem witch trials. Loved them all. An Irish tale about two long time friends. Jamie Dornan (50 Shades) is the son of one farm. He's a bit shy and slow to motivate. Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins) is on the neighboring farm.
