Culver's

Culver's is a restaurant that serves Burgers, fries, and shakes. A majority of the menu is filled with dairy and it seemed kind of expensive. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Find Her

Amazon writes, "Flora Dane is a victim.
Seven years ago, carefree college student Flora was kidnapped while on spring break. For 472 days, Flora learned just how much one person can endure.
Flora Dane is a survivor.
Miraculously alive after her ordeal, Flora has spent the past five years reacquainting herself with the rhythms of normal life, working with her FBI victim advocate, Samuel Keynes. Flora Dane is reckless.

Warren is called to the scene of a crime - a dead man and the bound, naked woman who killed him - she learns that Flora has tangled with three other suspects since her return to society. Is Flora a victim or a vigilante? And with her firsthand knowledge of criminal behavior, could she hold the key to rescuing a missing college student whose abduction has rocked Boston? Lion

I waited until I could rent this because I knew it was going to break my heart. And it did. This is the true story of an Indian child (later in life played by Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire) who gets stuck on a train that goes over 16000 miles away from his home. He doesn't remember the name of this hometown or his mom's name because he's just a little tiny thing. He ends up being homeless for months with dozens of people trying to take advantage of him. A couple from Australian adopts him (Nicole Kidman from Australia and David Wenham from LOR) and 20-25 years later he decides he needs to find his family. The ending is also heartbreaking. All in all, I say: SEE IT - with tissues.

Dirty Dancing (tv movie)

Abigail Breslin (Scream Queens) is Baby. It's more obvious that she is the writer and main character of this tale which we find out is made into a musical on Broadway. Johnny - is not as good a dancer nor is Penny. They are however more Hispanic which makes more sense to the plot and time period. There are 2 other stories underlying the movie - the mom (Debra Messing from Will & Grace) and dad (Bruce Greenwood from Star Trek) are struggling. Her sister (Sarah Hyland from Modern Family) is also struggling. It is more of a musical - and it doesn't sound like many of the actors are actually singing for themselves. It was ok for a tv movie, but it could have been better. Soundtrack is the same thank god. All in all, I say: SEE IT - if you read the book, or saw the original.

A Bundle of Trouble: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery

From the author responsible for True Blood - this is the most recent Aurora movie in the series. All the same characters. This one involves a baby ring. All in all, I say: SEE IT on Hallmark

Downward Dog

1st let me say that I am a sucker for live animals talking - like the movie Babe. So, this show was made for me. This dog is hilarious - it is taking some getting use to his voice, but I love this new ABC show. I also love that the female main character is a "real" woman and not some pencil thin model. The dog is adorable. All in all, I say: SEE IT

20th Century Woman

Nope - it was unbelievably boring and pointless. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Man with a Plan

Matt LeBlanc (Friends) is the father of 3 kids, husband to a wife that has decided to go back to work, and partner in a construction firm with his brother (Kevin Nealon from Weeds). I have been binge watching this on CBS All Access. It's not bad - it's not a new concept. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Paul W.S. Anderson (director of AVP) wrote and directed this obviously made for 3D movie. It closes out everything - the fate of all characters and the fate of the T virus - it all comes together and I have to say it in a kind of predictable way. I don't play the game so I didn't know anything, but still found it predictable. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you have seen all the others.

Talking with Chris Hardwick

From the creators of Talking Dead - Chris and AMC are allowing him to interview casts or individual from some of his favorite shows. For example, cast of Orange is the New Black and Silicon Valley. It's good - you can ask questions. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

Most people disagree with me, but this is my favorite of the 2. I liked this one way better. The humor was just as good. The action was just as good. Here's why I think it's better - cameos, and more little Groot. I mean - LITTLE GROOT!!!!!!!!!! Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone (both from Tango & Cash). The soundtrack is amazing! All in all, I say: SEE IT - 3D would be even better.

American Gods

Ricky Whittle (The 100) is recruited by Mr. Wednesday - AKA Thor (Ian McShane from Deadwood). There is a mix of old world gods and some new ones as well. It's interesting - the acting, the writing, ...it's odd, but I'm hooked. All in all, I say: SEE IT on STARZ

Second Chances

A Hallmark movies about a fireman who injures himself and rents a room from a single mom. They fall in love, but she is hesitant because she worries he might die. It's Hallmark though, so...happy ending. All in all, I say: SEE IT
