From the Desk of Zoe Washington

Amazon writes, "Zoe Washington isn’t sure what to write. What does a girl say to the father she’s never met, hadn’t heard from until his letter arrived on her twelfth birthday, and who’s been in prison for a terrible crime?

A crime he says he never committed.

Could Marcus really be innocent? Zoe is determined to uncover the truth. Even if it means hiding his letters and her investigation from the rest of her family. Everyone else thinks Zoe’s worrying about doing a good job at her bakery internship and proving to her parents that she’s worthy of auditioning for Food Network’s Kids Bake Challenge.

But with bakery confections on one part of her mind, and Marcus’s conviction weighing heavily on the other, this is one recipe Zoe doesn’t know how to balance. The only thing she knows to be true: Everyone lies.". All in all, I say: READ IT. It's really well thought out and written. I like the characters and the situations they are in. Good young adult novel.

Wish You Were Here

Amazon writes, "Diana O’Toole is perfectly on track. She will be married by thirty, done having kids by thirty-five, and move out to the New York City suburbs, all while climbing the professional ladder in the cutthroat art auction world. She’s an associate specialist at Sotheby’s now, but her boss has hinted at a promotion if she can close a deal with a high-profile client. She’s not engaged just yet, but she knows her boyfriend, Finn, a surgical resident, is about to propose on their romantic getaway to the Galápagos—days before her thirtieth birthday. Right on time.

But then a virus that felt worlds away has appeared in the city, and on the eve of their departure, Finn breaks the news: It’s all hands on deck at the hospital. He has to stay behind.
You should still go, he assures her, since it would be a shame for all of their nonrefundable trip to go to waste. And so, reluctantly, she goes.

Almost immediately, Diana’s dream vacation goes awry. Her luggage is lost, the Wi-Fi is nearly nonexistent, and the hotel they’d booked is shut down due to the pandemic. In fact, the whole island is now under quarantine, and she is stranded until the borders reopen. Completely isolated, she must venture beyond her comfort zone. Slowly, she carves out a connection with a local family when a teenager with a secret opens up to Diana, despite her father’s suspicion of outsiders.

In the Galápagos Islands, where Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection was formed, Diana finds herself examining her relationships, her choices, and herself—and wondering if when she goes home, she too will have evolved into someone completely different.". All in all, I say: READ IT. It was well written, but short enough to keep my interest.

All Systems Red

Amazon writes, "All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of WestworldEx Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels.

All Systems Red tackles questions of the ethics of sentient robotics. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

In a corporate-dominated spacefaring future, planetary missions must be approved and supplied by the Company. Exploratory teams are accompanied by Company-supplied security androids, for their own safety.

But in a society where contracts are awarded to the lowest bidder, safety isn't a primary concern.

On a distant planet, a team of scientists are conducting surface tests, shadowed by their Company-supplied 'droid - a self-aware SecUnit that has hacked its own governor module, and refers to itself (though never out loud) as "Murderbot."

Scornful of humans, all it really wants is to be left alone long enough to figure out who it is. But when a neighboring mission goes dark, it's up to the scientists and their Murderbot to get to the truth.". All in all, I say: READ IT. It was short, easy to read, and interesting. I like that it's from the Murderbots point of view. I bought the next 2 books in the series.

Will

Amazon writes, "Will Smith’s transformation from a West Philadelphia kid to one of the biggest rap stars of his era, and then one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood history, is an epic tale — but it’s only half the story.

Will Smith thought, with good reason, that he had won at life: Not only was his own success unparalleled, his whole family was at the pinnacle of the entertainment world. Only they didn't see it that way: They felt more like star performers in his circus, a seven-days-a-week job they hadn't signed up for. It turned out Will Smith's education wasn't nearly over.

This memoir is the product of a profound journey of self-knowledge, a reckoning with all that your will can get you and all that it can leave behind. Written with the help of Mark Manson, author of the multi-million-copy best seller The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ckWill is the story of how one person mastered his own emotions, written in a way that can help everyone else do the same. Few of us will know the pressure of performing on the world's biggest stages for the highest of stakes, but we can all understand that the fuel that works for one stage of our journey might have to be changed if we want to make it all the way home. The combination of genuine wisdom of universal value and a life story that is preposterously entertaining, even astonishing, puts Will the book, like its author, in a category by itself.". All in all, I say: SKIP IT. I wanted to relate to him, to be inspired by him, but the entire time I just kept thinking - you're a hypocrite.

Papi's Grill

The food was only okay. The service was really bad. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The 57 Bus

Amazon writes, "One teenager in a skirt.

One teenager with a lighter.
One moment that changes both of their lives forever.

If it weren’t for the 57 bus, Sasha and Richard never would have met. Both were high school students from Oakland, California, one of the most diverse cities in the country, but they inhabited different worlds. Sasha, a white teen, lived in the middle-class foothills and attended a small private school. Richard, a black teen, lived in the crime-plagued flatlands and attended a large public one. Each day, their paths overlapped for a mere eight minutes. But one afternoon on the bus ride home from school, a single reckless act left Sasha severely burned, and Richard charged with two hate crimes and facing life imprisonment. The case garnered international attention, thrusting both teenagers into the spotlight.". All in all, I say: READ IT - it's based on a true story. The chapters are short and to the point. A journalist wrote the book and it's well done.

Front Desk

Amazon writes, "Mia Tang has a lot of secrets.Number 1: She lives in a motel, not a big house. Every day, while her immigrant parents clean the rooms, ten-year-old Mia manages the front desk of the Calivista Motel and tends to its guests.Number 2: Her parents hide immigrants. And if the mean motel owner, Mr. Yao, finds out they've been letting them stay in the empty rooms for free, the Tangs will be doomed.Number 3: She wants to be a writer. But how can she when her mom thinks she should stick to math because English is not her first language? It will take all of Mia's courage, kindness, and hard work to get through this year. Will she be able to hold on to her job, help the immigrants and guests, escape Mr. Yao, and go for her dreams?". All in all, I say: SKIP IT. It had so much potential, but it fell short of being good.

The Burnout Cure: Learning to Love Teaching Again

Amazon writes, "How can you energize yourself to maintain or regain a positive outlook and love of teaching? What specific, immediate actions can you take to enhance your well-being and thrive both on and off the job?

Award-winning teacher Chase Mielke draws from his own research, lesson plans, and experiences with burnout to help you change your outlook, strengthen your determination to be a terrific teacher, and reignite your core passion for teaching.

Often lighthearted, yet thoroughly grounded in research on social-emotional learning and positive psychology, The Burnout Cure explains how shifts in awareness, attitudes, and actions can be transformational for you and for your students. The book describes specific steps related to mindfulness, empathy, gratitude, and altruism that you can use on your own and with students via classroom lessons and activities. Equipped with these tools, teachers can be their best, so they can give their best to the learners in their care.

Read less". All in all, I say: SKIP IT - it's a therapy kind of book with predictable techniques that haven't worked for me.

Mistborn: The Final Empire

Amazon writes, "For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison. Kelsier "snapped" and found in himself the powers of a Mistborn. A brilliant thief and natural leader, he turned his talents to the ultimate caper, with the Lord Ruler himself as the mark.

Kelsier recruited the underworld's elite, the smartest and most trustworthy allomancers, each of whom shares one of his many powers, and all of whom relish a high-stakes challenge. Only then does he reveal his ultimate dream, not just the greatest heist in history, but the downfall of the divine despot.

But even with the best criminal crew ever assembled, Kel's plan looks more like the ultimate long shot, until luck brings a ragged girl named Vin into his life. Like him, she's a half-Skaa orphan, but she's lived a much harsher life. Vin has learned to expect betrayal from everyone she meets, and gotten it. She will have to learn to trust, if Kel is to help her master powers of which she never dreamed.

This saga dares to ask a simple question: What if the hero of prophecy fails?". All in all, I say: SKIP IT - basically it's a futurist novel that is modeled after the French Revolution. It long and drawn out. Boring.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

The last of the beasts films. It was okay - the plot made sense. There was good action. Depp not being the bad guy was disappointing and it just wasn't magical. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Lost City

Sandra Bullock (Speed) is a romance writer that loses her sense of adventure after her husband dies. When she is kidnapped and forced to use her expertise to find a lost treasure, she manages to find her way back to living life to the fullest. She gets help from Brad Pitt (Oceans 11) and Channing Tatum (Step Up). It's a comedy and has some sweet parts. It's not bad; it's not great. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you want something light.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Sam Raimi (Evil Dead) directs this Marvel Movie where Dr. Strange and the Scarlet Witch go at it throughout the multiverse to protect a child. It's a horror, superhero film! It has a zombie!! IMDb writes, "Doctor Strange teams up with a mysterious teenage girl from his dreams who can travel across multiverses, to battle multiple threats, including other-universe versions of himself, which threaten to wipe out millions across the multiverse. They seek help from Wanda the Scarlet Witch, Wong and others.". All in all, I say: SEE IT and SEE IT in theatres if possible.

That Dirty Black Bag

On AMC, this western is about a man who becomes a bounty hunter in order to track down and girl his mother's murderer. Dominic Cooper (Nightfall) stars as a sheriff and former outlaw. All hell breaks loose in the western town when the two men fight. A conspiracy and everyone's secrets come to the surface. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

On Paramount, Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) reprises his role as Pike. This is a tv series prequel to ALL star trek movies and shows. It reminds me a lot of the original Star Trek show with Shatner. All in all, I say: SEE IT

The Black Crab

Noomi Rapace (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) stars in this Swedish movie on Netflix. It has a strange plot and jumps a bit - probably a problem with editing and script. She does an okay job. It's rough though. IMDb writes, "Set in a post-apocalyptic world, this Swedish action thriller follows six soldiers sent on a covert mission to transport a mysterious package across a frozen archipelago without knowing what dangers lie ahead or who - if anyone - they can trust.". All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Forever Purge

These movies always connect with current events and politics. In this film on HBO, the racists are no longer happy with just one day. They make a coordinated effort around the US to NOT stop the day after purging. The movie follows a group of rich and poor from a ranch as they try to survive and make it across the border to Mexico. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you watched the others.

Minari

Steven Yeun (TWD) stars in this art film on Showtime. It wasn't bad - acting was good, plot was good. It wasn't great though. Something was missing to make me love it. IMDb writes, "Yearning to own a small patch of land and be more than a chicken sexer, the ambitious paterfamilias, Jacob Yi, relocates his Korean-American family: sceptical wife, Monica, and their children, David and Anne, from California to 1980s rural Arkansas, to start afresh and capture the elusive American Dream. However, new beginnings are always challenging, and to find out what is best for the family, let alone start a 50-acre farm to grow and sell Korean fruits and vegetables, is easier said than done. But, amid sincere promises, cultural unease, fleeting hopes, and the ever-present threat of financial disaster, Jacob is convinced that he has found their own slice of Eden in the rich, dark soil of Arkansas. Can grandma Soonja's humble but resilient minari help the Yi family figure out their place in the world?Nick Riganas". All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Love Me

This series on Hulu stars Bojana Novakovic (Birds of Prey) as a very annoying doctor. Bob Morley (The 100) stars as her love interest - a model. It's an Australian show. All in all, I say: SEE IT for Morley.

The Weekend Away

Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) is caught up in the murder of her best friend in this movie on Netflix. It gets overly complicated - they are trying to point the finger at several suspects, but if you watch or read a lot of mystery you will know who did it. All in all, I say: SEE IT - she does a good job.

The Marksman

Liam Neeson (Love Actually) is a rancher on the border with Mexico in this movie on Paramount. He protects a young boy against Mexican criminals. Nothing unique or great about it. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Endgame

Morena Baccarin (Firefly) stars as an international criminal that is caught and interrogated by the FBI in this Hulu tv show. Nothing is as it seems though. She tells stories and talks in code to help the FBO uncover corrupt officials. IMDb writes, "A pulse-pounding, high-stakes thriller about Elena Federova, a very recently captured international arms dealer and brilliant criminal mastermind, who even in captivity orchestrates a number of coordinated bank heists. Then there's Val Turner, the principled, relentless and socially outcast FBI agent, who will stop at nothing to foil Elena's ambitious plan.brianfabulous". All in all, I say: SEE IT - I really enjoyed it.

Grave of Fireflies

A movie about two siblings that live on their own after the bombing of Japan in WWII. There was a lot wrong with the plot and with the characters. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

C'mon C'mon

Gabby Hoffmann (Girls) and Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator) do a great job acting in this low budget black and white movie about a documentarian looking after his nephew. The kid is annoying. I got annoyed. All in all, I say: SKIP IT on Amazon.

The Doorman

Jean Reno (The Professional) is the bad guy looking for some art to steal. Ruby Rose (XXX) is the new doorman at the apartment complex who happens to have tons of military experience. She must rescue her family. There was some okay action. The plot and acting are bad. I saw it on Amazon. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Reacher (tv series)

This tv series based on the books on Jack Reacher a former MP who wanders around the US helping people stars someone that I imaged Reacher to be. Alan Ritchson (Titans) has the height and muscles that Tom Cruise just never did have. The series starts with a mystery from the book series that is toward the end and not at the beginning - I guess they didn't want to do the movies over. Ontario is the setting for this book set in Georgia. Cast is good - writing is good - editing is good. I love this series. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Rescued by Ruby

Based on a true story of a cop with ADHD that wants to be on the K9 squad. He meets an unadoptable dog. The two of them have to train on their own to be able to get the job. It's filmed like a Hallmark wannabe movie. Acting is not great. It's an okay story. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

The Redfield siblings are played by Kaya Scodelario (Crawl) and Robbie Amell (Upload). This is a prequel to all the Resident evil movies. IMDb writes, "Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company's exodus left the city a wasteland with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever changed and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.brandon_bee_10". All in all, I say: SEE IT if you have seen the others.

F9: The Fast Saga

Everyone comes back from the dead. Everyone has a relative we have never heard of that appears. It just gets more and more ridiculous. I can't...

Top Gun: Maverick

The sequel to Top Gun as no real special effects. The flying scenes are amazing. Tom Cruise (Top Gun), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Ed Harris (Unforgiven), Val Kilmer (Top Gun), Miles Teller (The Offer), and Jennifer Connelly (Hulk) all star. The plot is believable and excellent. Amazing movie to see on the big screen. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Old

M Night Shyamalan's (The Village) new film is on HBO. A group of tourist end up stuck on a beach and they are aging years every few minutes. But why....and who is using the cameras on top of the hill to watch them. Rufus Sewell (Judy), Gael Garcia Bernal (Hombre), and Embeth Davidtz (The Morning Show) all star. It's a horror movie. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you like horror.

Pieces of Her

Toni Collette (Muriel's Wedding) stars in this Netflix tv series about a woman hiding who she is because of her past. Something happens to draw attention to her. Now she and her daughter are in danger. IMDb writes, "When a Saturday afternoon trip to the mall with her mother suddenly explodes into violence, an adrift young woman's perception of her mother is forever changed. As figures from her mother's past start to resurface, she is forced to go on the run and on that journey, begins to piece together the truth of her mother's previous identity and uncovers secrets of her childhood.". All in all, I say: SKIP IT - again it could have been a 2 hour movie, but they draw it out.

Jujutsu Kaisen

IMDb writes, "Yuji Itadori, a kind-hearted teenager, joins his school's Occult Club for fun, but discovers that its members are actual sorcerers who can manipulate the energy between beings for their own use. He hears about a cursed talisman - the finger of Sukuna, a demon - and its being targeted by other cursed beings. Yuji eats the finger to protect his friends, and ends up becoming Sukuna's host. However, Yuji discovers that he has inherited magic and is able to control this power without interference from Sukuna. He joins the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College to consumes all of Sukuna's fingers, which will enable a full exorcism to take place that will free him.". The movie which I saw in theatres won't make sense if you haven't seen the tv series and/or read the manga. I was confused. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Harder They Fall

A western on Netflix with an all star cast. Damon Wayans Jr (Happy Endings), Regina King (Flag Day), and Idris Elba (Luther) all star. IMDb writes, "When outlaw Nat Love discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck is being released from prison he rounds up his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge. Those riding with him in this assured, righteously new school Western include his former love Stagecoach Mary, his right and left hand men hot-tempered Bill Pickett and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth and a surprising adversary-turned-ally. Rufus Buck has his own fearsome crew, including "Treacherous" Trudy Smith and Cherokee Bill, and they are not a group that knows how to lose.". All in all, I say: SEE IT if you like westerns.

Vikings: Valhalla

This Netflix series is done by the creators of Vikings that aired on the history channel. If you like Vikings then you will love this series. IMDb writes, "Vikings: Valhalla begins in the early 11th century and chronicles the legendary adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived - Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdotter, Harald Hardrada and the Norman King William the Conqueror. These men and women will blaze a path as they fight for survival in the ever changing and evolving world.Deadline". All in all, I say: STREAM IT

Inventing Anna

Julia Garner (The Americans) stars in this based on a true story series on Netflix. She's a con artist. It's interesting and well acted. It is done like a documentary of sorts. IMDb writes, "In Inventing Anna, a journalist with a lot to prove investigates the case of Anna Delvey, the Instagram-legendary German heiress who stole the hearts of New York's social scene and stole their money as well. But is Anna New York's biggest con woman or is she simply the new portrait of the American dream? Anna and the reporter form a dark funny love-hate bond as Anna awaits trial and our reporter fights the clock to answer the biggest question in NYC: who is Anna Delvey? The series is inspired by the New York Magazine article "How Anna Delvey Tricked New York's Party People" by Jessica Pressler, who also serves as a producer.". All in all, I say: SEE IT

The Tender Bar

George Clooney (Oceans 11) directs Ben Affleck (Batman) in this coming of age movie you can see on Amazon. IMDb writes, "A boy (Jr.) seeks a replacement for his father, who disappeared shortly after his birth, and bonds with his uncle Charlie and the patrons at a bar in Long Island. Jr. listens closely to the stories of these men and relies on these stories for guidance on how to live.Frank Liesenborgs". All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window

Kristin Bell (Veronica Mars) stars in the Netflix series that makes fun of all the female mystery books that have come out recently. IMDb writes, "Centers around heartbroken Anna (Bell), for whom every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor moves in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder Or did she?". If you have read all the books the series makes fun of it's pretty funny. If you haven't read them or seen the movie versions you won't enjoy it as much. All in all, I say: STREAM IT

In From the Cold

This Netflix tv series is what it is named. A spy must come in from the cold to complete a mission. IMDb writes, "A single mother's life in suburban New Jersey is turned upside down when the CIA arrests her and forces her to make a choice: confront her long-buried past as a highly trained, bio-engineered Russian agent, and become an asset against Russia's underworld drug trade, and shadow war on U.S. elections or put her family and the new life she has built at risk.". The plot needs work, the editing needs work, and the acting needs work. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

The Starling

Melissa McCarthy (Nine Perfect Strangers) stars as a woman trying to keep her sanity and her marriage together. IMDb writes, "After Lilly suffers a loss, a combative Starling takes nest beside her quiet home. The feisty bird taunts and attacks the grief-stricken Lilly. On her journey to expel the Starling, she rediscovers her will to live and capacity for love.". Kevin Kline (A Fish Called Wanda) is an animal vet that acts as McCarthy's therapist. Chris O'Dowd (Human Resources) plays her husband. All in all, I say: SEE IT - it is sad.

Brazen

A lifetime movie wannabe on Netflix starring Alyssa Milano (Charmed). She is trying to solve her sister's murder. Sam Page (The Bold Type) also stars. The editing or writing gets a little off in parts. It's based on a Nora Roberts book. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Archive 81

This series on Netflix was creepy. Good writing and acting.  IMDb writes, "An archivist hired to restore a collection of tapes finds himself reconstructing the work of a filmmaker and her investigation into a dangerous cult.". Martin Donovan (Tenet) stars. All in all, I say: SEE IT

The 355

An all female cast of spies, agents, and bad asses. I saw this film in theatres. It had a lot of action. Jessica Chastain (George and Tammy), Penelope Cruz (American Crime Story), Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds), Jason Flemyng (Deep Rising), Bingbing Fan (Cell Phone 2), Sebastian Stan (Black Panther), Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther), and Edgar Ramirez (Florida Man) all star. All in all, I say: SEE IT

The Royal Treatment

On Netflix, this Hallmark wannabe movie is cute. Boy meets out spoken girl and they fall in love...problem is, he is royalty. IMDb writes, "sabella runs her own salon and isn't afraid to speak her mind, while Prince Thomas runs his own country and is about to marry for duty rather than love. When Izzy and her fellow stylists get the opportunity of a lifetime to do the hair for the royal wedding, she and Prince Thomas learn that taking control of their own destiny requires following their hearts.". All in all, I say: SEE IT

Stay Close

On Netflix, this tangled mystery stars Richard Armitage (LOTR) and James Nesbitt (Suspect). I got a little frustrated - I wanted it to be shorter. If only everyone had talked about everything, and had everything out in the open. It could have saved so many lives. All in all, I say: STREAM IT if you like murder mysteries.

The Chestnut Man

On Netflix, this series from Denmark follows a detective played by Danica Curcic (The Mist) as she tries to solve the mystery behind a missing girl. IMDb writes, "The Chestnut Man is set in the quiet suburb of Copenhagen, where the police make a terrible discovery one blustery October morning. They soon discover a mysterious piece of evidence on the chestnut man evidence connecting it to a girl who went missing a year earlier and was presumed dead - the daughter of politician Rosa Hartung.". Again, a case where I think Netflix should make it a movie and not try to draw it out for so long. All in all, I say: STREAM IT if you like mysteries.

Book of Boba Fett

A Star Wars series that focuses on the famous bounty hunter. Jon Faveau (Swingers) created it.  On Disney plus this series stars Temuera Morrison (Vertical Limit) as Fett, Ming-Na Wen (Mulan), Jennifer Beals (Flashdance), and Pedro Pascal (GoT) as Mando.  If you've seen all the other Star Wars - if you like Star Wars then...All in all, I say: SEE IT - worth it to see Jabbas.

Blood Red Sky

A German series filmed in Czech Republic and showing on Netflix is about vampires. Men hijack a plane with a vampire on board and all hell breaks loose. It's campy - not great, but good gore. All in all, I say: SKIP IT unless you like vampire movies.

Good Girls

Retta (Parks & Rec), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), and Mae Whitman (Duff) are three women in desperate need of money, so they do something desperate. This one act, which is supposed to be their last, takes them on a never ending spiral of criminal activity. I think if it had been a movie or only 1-2 seasons it would have been really good. As I kept watching it on Netflix - it just got more ridiculous. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Army of Thieves

This series on Netflix is a prequel to Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead. It centers on the safe cracker and how he ended up in Vegas. If you liked his character on Army of the Dead - then see it. Otherwise... it's an acquired taste. No zombies in this. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Clickbait

Adrian Grenier (Entourage) has been kidnapped and will be killed once a site gets enough clicks. HIs sister played by Zoe Kazan (Big Sick) and detectives must find him in time. The one question everyone has, is he guilty of what he is being accused of? This series was on Netflix. It was well acted. I just thought it could have been an hour and a half movie instead of a long drawn out series. All in all, I say SKIP IT
