Cirque du Soleil show Dralion was a chinese acrobatic show. A smaller cirque show. There was a lot of dance and transitions and not enough cool stuff. I did like the thing where they walk up the wall. The clowns planted a person in the audience. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Colombiana
The name of the movie should have been the name of the main character - 1st mistake. Luc Besson wrote this so it is like most of his work - girl wants revenge, kicks butt, and doesn't end up with the love of her life. The action was good. I didn't feel much sympathy for the main character though because she was tough even as a young girl. The actor that plays her uncle is a Kiwi but they caste him as a Colombian - weird. All in all, I say: RENT IT

Fright Night
I love, love Fright Night. The second horror movie I ever saw after Exorcist. The original was creepy back in the day - now not so much. It was scary - I was young. The new one with Mr. Sexy is funny. They did an ok job with plot. It was filmed to be seen in 3D & not in 2D - but I don't really think I missed anything. A cameo you'll like if you are a fan. All in all, I say: RENT ONE - SEE ONE
Awkward.

The Help
A young, white girl fresh out of college in Jackson, Mississippi decidea to write a book from the point of view of the help during the beginning of the civil rights movement. The book was amazing - I think I blogged about it awhile ago. The movie was so much better - I thought. The movie made me cry many times. I could feel the heat from the southern summer coming through the screen. Everyone did an amazing job - awards all around. All in all, I say: SEE IT - don't delay.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
I had to see this because I have seen all the other movies. When I got home I wanted to see the 1st one again to refresh my memory & was surprised none of the networks had one showing. I hate the cruelty to animal stuff - not gross at all - excellent animation. The plot worked for me. All in all, I say: SEE IT.

Cowboys & Aliens
It has the key components of a western. A reluctant, gunslinger becomes the peoples only hope. He falls for a beauty and ends up befriending an enemy against a bigger enemy. Then we have the aliens - they probe and take resources. There are some cheesy whose the better fighter scenes & some sappy please don't die on me scenes & some super predictable power ballads. All in all, I say: RENT IT once it's out.

Matterhorn
Well, I don't get the general public. I have seen a zillion movies and read half as many books about the Vietnam war and this was not as amazing as everyone was saying. Some parts were horribly long - some was horribly unnecessary. The main character was annoying. It was accurate, but not needed. All in all, I say: SKIP IT.
