It's interesting.

Black Adam

DCs next project - Black Adam - was a mess. It was all over the place, introducing new characters with no background on them. It was nothing but destruction from almost the beginning the middle where I stopped watching. All in all,  I say: SKIP IT

The Whale

Brendan Fraser (Mummy) was once a father, a husband, and a teacher. He fell in love with a preachers kid who was struggling with his religious upbringing and his current sexuality. He killed himself. Dying now himself, Brendan's character wants to reach out to his daughter that he hasn't had a relationship with in over 8 years. Samantha Morton (TWD) also stars. It's based on a play, so it takes place in one room. They cover a lot - it's well written. The acting is great. The ending is sad. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Violent Night

David Harbour (Stranger Things) is Santa. He is losing his desire to be Santa because of lack of belief and the state of the world. Until a little girl being held hostage asks for his help. It is gruesome. The old Viking with his hammer mutilate and kills the bad guys. It is what you expect it to be. David does a good job. All in all, I say: SKIP IT unless you like gore.

Catering Christmas

On Hulu, and very much like a Hallmark movie. It even stars one of the regulars. Lots of Canadians in this. A photographer is taking over the running of a foundation headed by his aunt after falling in love with a local caterer. All in all, I say: SEE IT

No Sleep 'Til Christmas

Odette Annable (The Unborn) and Dave Annable (Yellowstone) star in this Amazon Christmas movie about 2 insomniacs. They can only sleep when they are next to each other. They fall in love - it's far fetched and predictable, but cute. All in all, I say: SEE IT

A League of Their Own (tv series)

This tv series based on the movie based on the real story of the women that played baseball during WWII. D'Arcy Carden (The Good Place) stars in this series that has potential, but it was focusing on too much. Sexuality, race, war, and baseball. I just got bored and didn't care for the characters. I never thought I would say this, but too little baseball. All in all, I say: SKIP IT on Amazon

Good Night Oppy

So, so good. This is a documentary about the 2 rovers that were sent to mars. It has a ton of videos and the people from NASA are so amazing. You will cry or you aren't human. It's just amazing to learn the behind the scenes and the story behind the rovers. All in all, I say: SEE IT on Amazon

Something from Tiffany's

A Christmas movie on Amazon. There is a mix up with 2 boxes from Tiffany's. It leads to romance. Zoey Deutch (Before I Fall) does a good job. It's light hearted and fun. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Emily the Criminal

Aubrey Plaza (Parks & Rec) stars in this movie about a women who is in debt and uses credit card fraud to get out of it. She falls for one of the guys who ropes her in and he shows her the tricks. It's a good performance by Plaza, but I didn't like the plot and how things ended. All in all, I say: SKIP IT on Netflix

New series from Sharon Horgan (Game Night) that has a dark side. On Appletv, this British series follows a group of sisters that are planning to kill their brother-in-law. Turns out you learn reasons why each one would want him dead. You find out if he deserves it, and...best part you will never guess who did it. I was stumped and didn't see the ending coming. All in all, I Say: SEE IT

The English

A brutal and ugly side of the wild west. Not your typical plot and not your typical characters. It will leave a scar on your soul to watch. The writing, acting, directing is brilliant. But...there is alot in this that will trigger a lot of people. DO NOT watch this unless you text me first. There is rape, genocide, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Willow (tv series)

Minus Val Kilmer - the survivors of the movie version have an evil to defeat. This Disney tv series has Willow helping the twins of Val Kilmer's character defeat this new evil. It's kind of a bummer. I've found it boring and annoying. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Devotion

In theatres, this Korean War movie focuses on the last year of a black pilot played by Jonathan Majors (Lovecraft Country). He does a good job. Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) also stars. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. It had potential. All in all, I say: WAIT until free on TV

R.I.P.D. 2

Sequel without Ryan Reynolds. A sheriff - that is now dead - is offered a contract by the RIP to close an opening to hell. With the help of Joan Arc the sheriff played by Jeffrey Donovan (Law & Order) - is successful. Kind of funny - like the first. Not great - like the first. All in all, I say: SKIP IT on Netflix.

The Sea Beast

On Netflix, I watched this cartoon movie with my advisement group at school. Karl Urban (The Boys) voices the main character. It's Moby Dick with a twist. A little kid and monsters (instead of whales). It was okay - if you're a kid. All in all, I say: SKIP IT

Gael Garcia Bernal (Old) is a monster or a monster hunter - I don't want to give it away.  Laura Donnelly (The Nevers) is an heir to the most powerful monster hunter. Filmed mostly in black in white like an old 40s movie and airing on Disney. It is part of the new series by Marvel. All in all, I say: SEE IT
