The Sound of Mumbai: A Musical

Not really a musical, this is a documentary about a group of poor Indian children that are given the opportunity to sing songs from The Sound of Music with the Mumbai orchestra. The will be able to perform in front of hundreds of wealthy Indians and their parents. Problem: everyone that is helping them - the German conductor and the wealthy Indian widow - they don't realize the damage they are doing and have done to the kids. I was disgusted by the end of the film - at no time did any of the adults ever say to the kids, "This opportunity will NOT change your position in life - you will still be poor when you wake up tomorrow." All in all, I say: SKIP IT
