Mirren (Red) is one of the first female cops to become the American version of a homicide detective. In every season she has to put up with corrupt cops, politicians, or chauvinistic cops. Her personal life is a mess. This show in the UK led the way for The Closer. There are a lot of similarities. In several of the shows I had a difficult time understanding what was going on and what was being said. You really have to like murder shows like Law & Order to see any of these. Season 4 was amazing - there were a ton of famous British actors - a ton. All in all, I say: STREAM IT on Netflix
