Amazon describes the plot as: "The ruthless and brilliant brother Vishous possesses a destructive curse and a
frightening ability to see the future. As a member of the Brotherhood, he has no
interest in love or emotion, only the battle with the Lessening Society. But
when a mortal injury puts him in the care of a human surgeon, Dr. Jane Whitcomb
compels him to reveal his inner pain and taste true pleasure for the first
time-until a destiny he didn't choose takes him into a future that does not
include her..." The series gets weirder with this one. Jane being human isn't granted immortality like the last human a Brother fell in love with - this one is made into a ghost. It's like the author couldn't think of anything else and tried too hard to be different. Vishous was my favorite brother, but not after this. All in all, I say: READ IT - if you are reading the series otherwise SKIP IT - I also skipped most of the flashbacks in this one too - they just seem to distract the reader from the present plot - in my mind. I know she wants to give the reader more background on the characters, but I don't like it.
