IMDb writes, "A single mother gives her son a beloved doll for his birthday, only to discover that it is possessed with the soul of a serial killer." The doll coming to life is super freaky, and when this came out it sacred Beth and I to death. I would say, "Friends to the end" while making a face and she would freak out! This is the beginning of Chucky there have been four or five additional movies in the series, but this is the only one I have seen. Hicks (7th Heaven) is the mom, Sarandon (Princess Bride) is the cop, and Dourif (Dune) is the voice of Chucky. All in all, I say: SKIP IT - it is creepy and will give you nightmares, and you will never want to dolls ever again.
