By far one of the biggest mind f#$%s ever. You won't know which way is up after seeing this. You will wonder if you are awake or if you are dreaming. If you are alive or if you are dead. If you are in a coma or being tortured or if you are living in the present. IMDb writes, "Mourning his dead child, a haunted Vietnam vet attempts to discover his past while suffering from a severe case of disassociation. To do so, he must decipher reality and life from his own dreams, delusion, and perception of death." Robbins (Dead Man Walking) is the vet. Pena (Lone Star) is his wife. Aiello (Do the Right Thing), Craven (White House Down), Alexander (Seinfeld), La Salle (ER), and Rhames (Mission Impossible) do a good job in this, too. All in all, I say: SEE IT - but see it with someone. If you don't know Jacob's ladder is the ladder into Heaven - ohhh deep.
