Blade Runner

I did not understand this film when I first saw - years later I watched it again and was blown away. There is a reason this is a cult classic. Rumor is someone is planning a remake - not sure about this. The original was gritty and was made with some actors the likes of which I don't know we have currently.

Ford (Ender's Game) is a cop - a special cop that is apart of a special unit. IMDb writes, "In the future, "replicants," artificially created and cybernetically enhanced beings, are indistinguishable from naturally born human beings, but are not entitled to the same rights as natural humans. Out of fear, society has deemed their freedom a liability and danger for the general populace. As a result, the "Blade Runner" unit was created as a specialized section of the police. Blade Runners are essentially bounty hunters, and are required to hunt down and "retire" rogue replicants. In other words, Blade Runners are tasked with the execution of replicants." Hauer (Sin City) is a rogue as is Hannah (Splash). Young (No Way Out) is Ford's love interest. Olmos (2 Guns) and Walsh (Wild Wild WesT) also star. All in all, I say: SEE IT. You really can't go wrong with a Scott (Aliens) film.
