Glory
I saw this movie for the first time in US History class in high school - the teacher was a coach who loved to show movies and make us outline chapters in the book. I loved this one. Thank goodness the lights were off because I cried a couple of times during this film. IMDb writes, "Robert Gould Shaw leads the US Civil War's first all-black volunteer company, fighting prejudices of both his own Union army and the Confederates." Broderick (Godzilla) is Shaw, Washington (Man on Fire) and Freeman (Se7en) are black men in his unit. The costumes and sets were perfection. All in all, I say: SEE IT - get entertained as you learn about something true from our history.
