It's a Wonderful Life

A Capra great - Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939). He works with Stewart (Rear Window) again in this Christmas classic from 1946. Reed (From Here to Eternity) is the wife of a banker that is at the end of his rope. He just can't seem to get a break and he feels like he's let everyone down including himself. His guardian angel shows him what life would have been like for everyone if he had never been born. Sort of a twist on A Christmas Carol. Travers (The Bells of St. Mary's) is the angel - Clarence. It's good, but I don't think I like it as much as others do. All in all, I say: SEE IT  - but it's not a yearly tradition for me.
