Orphan Black
I can't believe I didn't already blog about this - season two has started in full swing - Maslany (Diary of the Dead) is a rick star. She was skipped over in the award season this year, but she better not be neglected again. This show is about clones, but I don't want to give too much away other than to say - she really plays each person completely different. It will blow your mind. All in all, I say: SEE IT
The Colbert Report
IMDb writes, "Satirist news caster Stephen Colbert provides humorous commentary on the big issues going on in the United States and the rest of the world, with his larger then life ego and overly patriotic spirit along with him every step of the way." He does an amazing job. He is extremely intelligent and quick witted - it is so much fun. All in all, I say: SEE IT
Bears
Every year on Earth Day Disney releasing a movie to help raise money. This year - it was the American brown bear. A mother and her two cubs. Reilly (Chicago) narrates. It was really well done. It's intense and funny. All in all, I say: RENT IT
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
He found fame when he did the Daily Show - now HBO has given him his own show. It's perfect. It would be awesome if Daily Show, Colbert, and then his show came on - one right after the other - all on HBO - that would be so cool. He's able to do a really good quality show though because it's only once a week and not in front of a live audience - I don't think. There have been 2 episodes already and I am in love. All in all, I say: SEE IT even if you have to borrow someone's HBOGo password.
Lucky Them
So, I thought - independent film, Collette (Sixth Sense), Depp (Alice in Wonderland), Platt (The West Wing), and Haden Church (Wings) - this has to be good. OMG - I was soooooooooo bored. My description of the plot might even be too boring. An obsessed writer for a failing music magazine is obsessed with finding her ex who was a famous musician that faked his death - the end. All in all, I say: SKIP IT
Brick Mansions AKA American remake of District B13
Written by same writer as the French film, Besson (Fifth Element), but with a happy American ending - which I loved!!!!! It was so good to see Belle in the remake, because it would not have been the same without him - the inventor of parkour. It was sad to see Walker (Fast & Furious). All in all, I say: SEE IT in theatres or you can wait till it comes out.
Oh, I know I didn't talk much about plot - just read my blog on District B13.

Imaginary Friends in Movies
I never had an imaginary friend, but I love the stories about them. They do so much for children and in some cases adults. I can't write about too many movies that have imaginary friends because it would be a spoiler alert and many of them. I want to highlight some of my favorites. My all-time...Harvey. Harvey is an imaginary rabbit who is taller than the man who imagines him - Jimmy Stewart (It's a Wonderful Life).
All in all, I say: RENT IT. He does an amazing job, and for the 1950s they filming is perfect.
In 1996, the next film was released. Goldberg (Jumpin' Jack Flash), Depardieu (Life of Pie), and Osment (The Sixth Sense) starred in this film. A young boy's mother dies and he has to go live with his godmother. Goldberg was an orphan who lived with the same foster family as Osment's mother. Bogus played by Depardieu helps the two connect. All in all, I say: RENT IT
Then, there was the next film.Cates' (Gremlins) long gone imaginary friend returns to turn her life up side down as an adult. Mason (Nick of Time) plays her mother. It gets a little frustrating in the middle with all the chaos, but you begin to realize why toward the end. All in all, I say: RENT IT
Lastly, I like the imaginary rabbit, Frank, in Donnie Darko. Who helps the main character played by Gyllenhall (Source Code) discover the end of the world is coming. This film is much darker and creepier than the other three. It is a cult classic, so if you don't like that kind of stuff stay clear; otherwise, All in all, I say: RENT IT
Memento
I rewatched this - because I own it - a little while ago. It's just so original and brilliant. Pearce (Lawless) does an amazing job. His character suffers from memory loss - all short term memories are gone in minutes. He has tattooed several things on his body, he writes tons of notes, and he takes polaroids. He is in search of the man who killed his wife and left him with the memory loss. Big Problems with this, but I don't want to give away the really cool stuff. Moss (Matrix) and Pantoliano (Matrix) also give stellar performances. Nolan (Inception) directs and writes, so you can only imagine. All in all, I say: RENT IT
