Pearce (LA Confidential) and his brother got involved in stealing cars and setting things on fire for insurance money when they were younger. In one of the fire someone dies and Pearce takes the rap and goes to jail. While in jail he begins sponsoring a young Chinese orphan. He writes that he works at a nature preserve, has a wife, and has two kids. The orphan names Little Sister visits him and discovers the truth when her choir is visiting Australia. She falls into the clutches of the man that got Pearce in trouble. Will she stay with Pearce or go back to China? All in all, I say: SEE IT
