A 1985-1989 tv series. IMDb writes, "A retired intelligence agent turned private detective helps various threatened clients to equalize the odds." English actor Woodward (Hot Fuzz) played the detective. All in all, I say: SEE IT. It is dated - obviously - but I loved watching it as a kid.
IMDb writes, "A man believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and has dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when he meets a young girl under the control of ultra-violent Russian gangsters, he can't stand idly by - he has to help her." Woodward's character from the tv series is played by Washington (Man on Fire) and he's on fire again. The directing is excellent as it would be thanks to Fuqua (Shooter). Moretz (Hugo) plays the Russian girl. Kiwi Csokas (XXX) plays the bad guy - and does it well - as always.
Pullman (Independence Day) plays the husband of Leo (The Fighter) the main characters friend and former boss at CIA. All in all, I say: SEE IT
