The Bridge on the River Kwai

A British colonel is adamant that everyone at a Japanese POW camp remained civilized. He devises a plan to use his captured men to help the Japanese build a bridge to keep things civilized and his men busy with their minds off their capture. Allies - and some of the POWs - plan to blow up the bridge at all costs. There is a famous song - people whistle all the time since this film. Holden (The Wild Bunch) and Guinness (Lawrence of Arabia) are the two most known. All in all, I say: SEE IT
