In 1997 a Firth (The Railway Man) played an obsessive soccer fan who had fallen in love. His obsession gets in the way of his relationship at every turn. In the end, he has to decide his team or his new love. Remember it was the 90s and it's not half bad. It has some funny moments written only the way Hornby (High Fidelity) could write.

Now fast forward - the US audience being crazed for Hornby films want the movie remade. Fallon (Whip It) and Barrymore (Whip It) star. He is crazy for the Boston Red Sox's baseball. She is his new love. He has to make a choice - not as funny as the British version. All in all, I say: SKIP IT
