A reoccurring Masterpiece Mystery series. Each episode is a 2 hour movie. There have been 9 seasons - movies within seasons range from 3 to 6. DI Robert Lewis teams up with DS James Hathaway to look into the murders in Oxford, England. Fox is the one to watch. He's Billy Piper's (Dr. Who) husband. It's well done - young academic cop and older traditional cop make a great team. The cases are interesting as well. All in all, I say: SEE IT - Amazon has several seasons streaming.

Fantastic Four
Teller (Divergent), Mara (The Martian), Bell with no accent (6 Days) , and Nelson (The long Home) star in this re-boot. The set up runs painfully long. The action is painfully short. The actors fall painfully short. The re-boot is painful. All in all, I say: SKIP IT. In fact, the longer you think about the film and examine it the more you hate it.
Space Station 76
A group of people living on a space station in 1976, so imagine the clothing, music, and sexist views. Wilson (Phantom of the Opera), Bomer (White Collar), and Tyler (The Leftovers), and O'Connell (Jake and the Never Land Pirates) all star. It's entertaining to see a mix of sci-fi and 70s culture. All in all, I say: SKIP IT - unless you have an odd sense of humor then you might get a kick.
Hitman: Agent 47
Friend - such a cutie (Homeland) is an agent who has been given a hit, but also has a plan of his own. Skip Woods (Thursday) wrote the screenplay, so you know it's clever and well thought-out - there are reasons behind things. Color was very important in this film. Red in particular - symbolic perhaps - hmmmm. The action sequences are well done and choreographed. Friend is smooth - like Reeves in John Wick smooth. It was a pleasure to watch. Their may very well be another Hitman in the series in the future. I was worried I wouldn't enjoy it without Olyphant, but Skip made sure the audience got the same flavour. All in all, I say: SEE IT

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
Same cast as before, but this time they are assisted by a British agent, Swedish actress Ferguson (The Red Tent). Baldwin (Back in the Day) plays the head of the CIA. You can get the gist by watching the previews. Cruise does all his own stunts & there is an interrogation scene that is super cool. I also recommend, in addition to watching the preview first, you watch Pegg on Jimmy Fallen first. The martial arts by Ferguson's stunt person is cool. It's action packed as always. All in all, I say: SEE IT
Ariat
This company makes my favorite riding boot. They now have a large lines of boots, shoes, and clothing for men and women. I have several pairs of their sandals and one pair of cowboy boots. They appear as sponsors int he movie The Longest Ride. Their shoes are very well made, they last a long time, and they are supportive. All in all, I say: TRY A PAIR - in my part of town you can go to Horsetown and try on a wide range of stuff.
Orphan Train
What do a 91 something year old wealthy widow, and a 17 something goth foster kid have in common? More than you can imagine. Will the older one find peace? Will the younger one find understanding, love, and peace? This book got my hooked in the prologue, and I couldn't put it down. Read it in two nights. The writing is excellent - the imagery is just enough to not be overly annoying. The characters are interesting. All in all, I say: READ IT
The Longest Ride
Based on a Sparks novel - Robertson (Jack Goes Home) and Eastwood (Suicide Squad) meet and fall in love, but there are obstacles that I won't give away here. The star of this is really Alda (Bridge of Spies). Huston (Outlander), Chaplin (Quantum of Solace), and Davidovich (Skate God) also star. It's what you expect from a Sparks book/movie. You got for the acting and chemistry in this. All in all, I say: SEE IT - the several 8 second bull riding scenes are well done. You will learn what the longest ride is and hint it isn't the bull riding.
It's a Disaster
Every Sunday a small group of close friends get together for a couples Sunday brunch. Boston (Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past) and Brennan (The Lake House) are one couple who have an open relationship and have done drugs right before this day's brunch. Hayes (The Watch) and Miller (The Movie Show) are the couple hosting the brunch - they are getting a divorce. Ferrera (How to Train Your Dragon 3) and Grace (Castle) are another couple who have been engaged forever. Stiles (untitled Bourne Sequel) and Cross (Kung-Fu Panda 3) are the newest couple - meaning they have just started dating. Should they get divorces? Should they set a date to get married? Should they keep dating? Well, everyone's true colors comes out because it's their last day one Earth. There was a terrorist gas attack and even though they are sealed up in the house it is only a matter of time. It is funny - dark in places, but I loved that. The scene where one couple shows up late is hysterical. All in all, I say: SEE IT - I caught it on Showtime.
UnREAL
Ok, so I don't really watch any reality tv - it's so scripted and shady - not really real you know what I mean?! Well, a producer from a reality show created this fictional show about what goes on behind the scenes of a show like The Bachelor. I don't know why I never knew this show was on, but once I found it I couldn't stop. I watched it from beginning to end without sleep. It is addictive. Appleby (Roswell) plays a producer who is coming back from a nervous break down. Zimmer (Complications) plays the executive producer and creator of the show and she's awesome to watch. Bierko (Louder Than Words) who has gained some weight - plays the other show creator. Stroma (Pitch Perfect) plays the bachelor. Kelly ex-military (Transformers) plays one of the cameramen.
It a "dozen shirter" because both Kelly & Stroma take off their shirts often. It has comedy, drama (a little toward soap opera not too far into soap opera), and non-fictional story lines. All in all, I say: SEE IT, but be prepared to get addicted. I watched all but 2 episodes on Directv OnDeman - I had to buy 2 episodes off Itunes.
