Lady Susan Vernon is played by Beckinsale (Underworld: Blood Wars). I like in the Underworld series - she did a decent job in this being a lying, and conniving women in this. This is based on a novella by Jane Austin. Clark (PPZ) plays her innocent daughter. Sevigny (Big Love) plays her best friend - but she doesn't do a very good job. I don't really like her as an actress though, so probably biased. Bennett (Doctors) plays a suitor of 1st the daughter and later to mother. He is the true comedic relief in this. Greenwell (Shamless) does a good job as the sister-in-law. Beckinsale just comes across as a mean bitch instead of being funny. All in all, I say: SKIP IT
