The Highly Engaged Classroom

Marzano writes another. I wanted to read through it to see what else he has added since his last book. This one is 2010. Not much I didn't already know - I skipped through the research he compiled to convince readers he knows what he is talking about - I believe him at this point. I did get some ideas: I need to include pollanywhere next year (I didn't use it once this year), I want to invite more guest speakers (I only had one this year), I need to include more unusual information to catch and keep students' attentions, and I want to use more than just jeopardy next year (I want to find a Family Feud template), I need to do more inquiry in the class (I think that's going to be my goal for this year - I usually pick one big one), and I am going to try a flipped classroom this year for the first time ever - wish me luck. All in all, I say: READ IT - if you're a teacher otherwise SKIP IT
