The Twenty-One Balloons

This book was part of a contest for the student who could read and summarize over 100 Newberry Award winning books. I loved it - I still own a hard copy to this day. Amazon writes, "Professor Sherman left San Fransisco in a balloon to travel across the Pacific Ocean. He shows up in the Atlantic with a stop on an island. He tells about life on the island. His stories mix fact with fiction about science and balloons. The professor swears this voyage is true, no matter how fantastic it may appear to the reader." All in all, I say: READ IT
