Ford - who write and directed A Single Man wrote and directed this film noir. Adams (Enchanted) gets a manuscript from her ex-husband whom she cheated on. He uses his novel to share his feelings. The story is what has you on the edge of your seat. The entire story is a metaphor for her ex played by Gyllenhaal (Zodiac). Shannon (The Iceman) does a good job as a cop in the fictional story - in the metaphor he is the love Gyllenhaal has for Adams. Fisher (Rango) represents Adams in the story. Hammer (The Social Network) is the man Adams leaves Gyllenhaal for. It's a film noir so don't except a happy ending. All in all, I say: RENT IT
