Arrival

More about a life lesson than about Aliens - super bumbed. Amy Adams (Superman) is a linguist who gets to interpret an alien language. She learns through her dreams that she is actually living life in a non-linear fashion and still despite all the hardships she will face she wants to live that life. Her work and the work of physicists, Jeremy Renner (Avengers) helps the world unite together to solve their problems so that 3,000 years in the future they will be strong and advanced enough to help the aliens when they return. The aliens and their language is cool, but not enough time spent on that. Forest Whitaker (Roots), Tzi Ma (The Man in High Castle), and Mark O'Brien (Republic of Doyle) also star.  I watched it on OnDemand and wished I hadn't. All in all, I say; SKIP IT - Amy & Jeremy do an excellent job acting, it just wasn't my kind of movie.
