Alone in Berlin

Emma Thompson (Sense & Sensibility) and Bredan Gleeson (Calvery) are German parents who lose their only son during WWII. It's based, I think, on the true story of a couple who starts writing truths on cards and leaving them all over the city. They are trying to shine a light on the lies of Hitler during the war. Daniel Bruhl (Inglorious Basterds) is a local cop who is ordered by the SS to find the writer of the notes. The truth in them is too dangerous to their plans for Germany. He does want to find the writer, because he wants to prove to himself he is a good cop. He doesn't want to find the writer because he knows what awaits the couple. The ending is brutal, but the acting is excellent. All in all, I say: SEE IT
