I loved the series and loved the first film. All but the last 30 minutes or so were just as exciting as the first film. The ass kicking was epic. The show down with the bad guys was a little strange. The ending feels like THE END of the movies and not just the character. I wish they would bring this back to tv. All in all, I say: SEE IT if you saw the first film.
