A Pale Horse

A woman is found by UK police dead with a list of people in her pocket. Most of the people on the list are also dead of seemingly ordinary, natural causes. Rufus Sewell (Highcastle) is also on the list. He has recently lost his first wife, and woke up next to his dead mistress. He investigates for himself and is led to believe that a trio of witches in a small town are behind everything. He will do anything not to end up a dead person from the list. It's Agatha Christie so there is so much more afoot than you think. I was not surprised by the main character in the end, but I was surprised by who/what was doing the killing.
