The English Game
Not 100% accurate, but still pretty close. This series on Netflix tells of the creation of futbol (soccer) in England at a time when the workers were on strike constantly in the factories and times were changing in England. The lower/working class needed to win a championship in order to prove they were just as good if not better than the wealthy upper class teams who controlled the game. Players until this time were never paid for playing. All in all, I say: SEE IT - even if you don't like sports you can see what was going on historically speaking in England at this time. It's filmed in the same location as North & South (2004 tv series).
