If you know me well, you know I love the character Kurt Wallander - Swedish detective. This is supposed to be the early years - when he first joined the force. They filmed it in Lithuania to give an older time period feel. It was good as a stand alone, but part of the original series no. It kind of fits with Kenneth Branagh's take on Wallander. It does not fit with the original Swedish version - the new actor is no Rolf Lassgard. SO, I"ve been torn as to whether I like it or not. I decided to think about it as a different Wallander - and I like it. Gritty - accidental detective with a sketchy mentor worked. All in all, I say: SEE IT - Netflix
