Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World

I watched this again for a second time on tv when my DVR recorded it on its own. Based on a Patrick O'Brian novel this movie was perfect. The screenplay, the cinematography, and the acting all top notch. It is hard to make a movie at sea, but this one is one of the best. IMDb describes the movie as such: " During the Napoleonic Wars, a brash British captain pushes his ship and crew to their limits in pursuit of a formidable French war vessel around South America." Russell Crowe (Gladiator) is the commander of the ship and he is at his Gladiator weight and look. Paul Bettany (A Knight's Tale) is his friend, resident doctor, and naturalist. You'll see some Hobbits in this - but not as Hobbits of course. All in all, I say: SEE IT it's not too manly man.
