The Bengali Detective

An HBO documentary about a group of private detectives in India. The owner deals with the sickness and death of his wife during the filming. He and his detectives also try out fotr a dancing tv show during filming. It gives you another look at India other than Slumdog Millionaire or a Bollywood movie. It does, like Slumdog,  point out the deficiencies of the Indian police department- about 70% of all murders in India are never solved and in this film you get a glimpse as to why that is. IMDb writes, "Chubby, dance-obsessed private-detective Rajesh Ji and his motley band of helpers tackle poisonings, adultery and the occasional murder on the frenzied streets of Kolkata."All in all, I say: SEE IT.
