Based on the graphic novels, but oh so different. There are characters that don't exist in the novels. There are plot twists that don't exist in the novels. There are love match ups that don't exist in the novels. After so many season, there is no way to know what exactly will happen next since it has become so different. IMDb writes,"Police officer Rick Grimes leads a group of survivors in a world overrun by zombies." Rick is played by Lincoln (Love Actually) and the fan favorite (mine, too) is Reedus (Boondock Saints). You can go on the AMC website and see which character you are most like - lots of fun. It is filmed in Georgia, so it is fun to recognize some small towns and roads. All in all, I say: SEE IT and hurry up because if you haven't started you need to watch all the way though before Sunday when the next show starts!
