The Purge

One of those futuristic problem solving nightmares of a movie plot like those of the 80s. Soylent Green is people! America is so violent and the population is skyrocketing - to solve these problems the government has a day called The Purge. For 12 hours you can committ any crime you want and never be punished for it. So, why horror? Well, think of all the people that have been annoyed by you, hated you, or felt scorned by you....done thinking - for 12 hours they can all come after you and do anything they want to you. The main character, Hawke (Before Sunset) is in the security business. He sells security to all the people that can afford to protect themselves against the violent of The Purge. Problem - his daughter scorned boyfriend wants him dead, his neighbors are jealous and want him dead, and his son has a good heart. All this combines to make this families 12 hours a nightmare. Headey (Sarah Connor Chronicles) is the mother. Kane (Reign) is the daughter. You will know the events and who survives if you know anything about these types of movies. All in all, I say: SKIP IT
