Odd Thomas
Based on the series of novels by Koontz, and adapted and directed for the screen by Sommers (The Mummy). Odd Thomas (Yelchin from Star Trek) sees ghosts and helps them avenge their deaths. He can also see evil spirits that tip him off that something bad is going to happen. In this film, he knows a mass murder is going to happen - he spends the movie trying to figure out who and where. He saves the day with the help of the town's head detective (Dafoe from Platoon). Timlin (Zero Hour) plays Odd's girlfriend Stormy. This movie reminded me a lot of The Frighteners. It was clever and touching. I cried. All in all, I say: SEE IT - I rented it on Directv. I'm not sure why it wasn't released or if it's just yet to be released. It's good and I want to read more about him, so I put all the books about him on my wish list.
