St. Vincent

Murray (Groundhog Day) is a gambler, a drunk. and a rude old man. Watts (Eastern Promises) is a pregnant stripper that prostitutes herself out to Murray's character. McCarthy (Bridesmaids) is a recently single mom trying to raise her son in a new home with a new job. O'Dowd (Bridesmaids) is a Catholic priest that teaches her son. Howard (The Brave One) has a couple of brief scenes as a debt collector. McCarthy is desperate for a baby-sitter and allows Murray to care for him after school. During these afternoons he comes to learn a lot about life and about Murray. Every year the school has a Saint night where students can nominate someone to be a Saint. The boy picks Murray because he was a hero in the Vietnam War, he continued to care for his wife with Alzheimers until her death, and he helps the Russian stripper, Watts, when she needs someone most. It is funny and I cried at the end. All in all, I say: SEE IT - I watched it OnDemand with DirecTV.
