Anne Rice writes the screenplay based on her book for this movie. It stars Cruise (Top Gun) as Lestat, Pitt (Oceans 11) as Louis, Banderas (Desperado) as Armand, Slater (The Wife) as the journalist, and Dunst (Fargo) as the young girl. It was very, very close to the book. I think Cruise went a little over board and had a hard time seeing him as Lestat - it just didn't fit. All in all, I say: SEE IT - but read the book first.
