The singer Aaliyah died while this was in production or editing or something - she played the Queen of all Vampire. Townsend (Salem) played Lestat - he was more how I pictured Lestat from the books. Rice did not write the screenplay for this, so it wavers from the book. All in all, I say: SEE IT - read the books first.
